Welcome to our guide for Granville Theatre in Ramsgate

Overlooking the scenic East Kent coast, the Granville Theatre is Ramsgate’s leading live entertainment venue. From musicals and comedy to film screenings and family shows, this seaside theatre brings a rich mix of culture and entertainment to the Thanet coast.

Whether you’re after a night of laughter, live music or a festive pantomime, the Granville Theatre has become a cultural landmark - connecting generations of locals and visitors since its 1940s origins.

About Granville Theatre

The Granville Theatre was originally built on the site of the Granville Pavilion, which was destroyed during the Second World War. Rebuilt and reopened in 1947, it has remained a beloved community theatre for over seven decades.

Following a recent restoration, the Granville now offers two performance spaces, a cinema screen, and refurbished bar areas - blending its post-war charm with modern comfort. Its position along Ramsgate’s seafront makes it one of the most picturesque theatres in Kent.
